The Local Governance Performance Management System (LGPMS) was instrumental to the “Gawad Pamana ng Lahi” Award of Excellence in Local Governance of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).
In the Philippine Daily Inquirer issue of March 18, 2013, several Local Government Units (LGUs) received this award in recognition of exemplary performance in governance. Part of the awarding criteria required the LGU achieve a high overall performance index in the LGPMS.
It stated, “The LGPMS is a total performance measurement tool which looks at the capacity of local governments in various areas of governance such as administration; local legislation, revenue generation and resource utilization; social governance, economic governance and environmental governance.”
Asiagate developed the LGPMS system for the DILG.
